Once your baby is working on sitting, it's important to teach them how to sit and move while sitting. It's an entire new perspective for your baby. I like this cushion in the video below because the top is flat. I start by propped baby up (Layla is 5.5 months old her and can sit unassisted for a few minutes). I grab a few of her favorite toys and place them all around her. The goal is to get her out of her comfort zone to reach for toys and throw herself off balance. Now, I know what you're thinking, but this exercise is really helpful to teach your baby their boundaries.

Replace the toys as baby knocks them off or move them to keep baby engaged for a few minutes. The toys pictured here are some of Layla's favorites and those that make noise to keep her entertained. She's actually pretty good at playing alone, which is definitely a taught skill.
